PAIA Manual

Manual prepared for IMPI TECH (PTY) LTD under section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000, as amended.

2. The Information Regulator's PAIA Guide

The Information Regulator publishes a guide explaining how to use PAIA, available from its PAIA resources page. The Regulator can be contacted at enquiries@inforegulator.org.za, 010 023 5200, or Woodmead North Office Park, 54 Maxwell Drive, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191.

3. Records available without a formal PAIA request

Public website materials—including product descriptions, pricing, Terms, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Cookie Notice, DPA, this Manual, and company disclosure—are available directly from peckq.com. CIPC records may be available from the relevant public registry under its procedures and fees.

4. Records held by IMPI TECH

Subject to availability, confidentiality, and lawful grounds for refusal, record categories may include:

  • company incorporation, governance, ownership, and statutory records;
  • tax, accounting, banking, insurance, invoice, payment, and commercial records;
  • customer contracts, account, support, subscription, and service records;
  • supplier, subprocessor, contractor, and professional-adviser records;
  • personnel and employment records, if applicable;
  • software, intellectual-property, security, incident, audit, and operational records;
  • PeckQ restaurant-account, waitlist, messaging, and customer records; and
  • privacy, PAIA, data-subject-request, and regulatory-compliance records.

5. Applicable legislation

IMPI TECH keeps records required by legislation applicable to its size and activities, which may include the Companies Act, Income Tax Act, Tax Administration Act, Value-Added Tax Act where applicable, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and related employment legislation where applicable, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, Consumer Protection Act, PAIA, and POPIA. This is not a representation that every listed statute requires every record category in all circumstances.

6. How to request a record

  1. Use the Regulator's current PAIA Form 2 from its PAIA resources page.
  2. Send it to bernhard@peckq.com.
  3. Identify the requested record, preferred access form, contact details, and the right the record is required to exercise or protect.
  4. Provide proof of identity and, where acting for another person, authority to do so.
  5. Pay only a fee lawfully prescribed under PAIA if notified that one applies.

A request may be granted, partially granted, transferred, or refused under PAIA. Grounds for refusal may protect personal privacy, confidential commercial information, safety, legal privilege, security, intellectual property, or other interests recognized by law. The written outcome will explain available complaint or court remedies where required.

7. Personal information processed under POPIA

IMPI TECH processes restaurant-user, waitlist-guest, supplier, contractor, support, security, and business-contact information for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. Data may be shared with the relevant restaurant, authorized personnel, cloud/authentication/messaging/payment providers, advisers, regulators, or authorities when justified. Processing may occur outside South Africa with appropriate safeguards. General security measures include access control, encryption in transit and at rest, restricted cloud permissions, backups, auditability, and privacy-aware logging.

8. Availability and updates

This Manual is freely available on peckq.com and at IMPI TECH's principal address during reasonable business hours by arrangement. A printed copy may be subject to a lawful reproduction fee. The Information Officer will review and update this Manual when the business, record categories, contact details, or legal requirements materially change.
